WorldFest was created in the fall of 1995 after the Racial and Cultural Diversity Commission was tasked by the Little Rock City Mayor and Board of Directors to host an annual multicultural event. WorldFest celebrates the different races and cultures that exist here in the City of Little Rock as well as the surrounding areas through educational activities, entertainment, and tastes from around the world. Recently the festival was named 1st place recipient of the National League of Cities Cultural Diversity Award for 2006. WorldFest continues to evolve as a favorite among Arkansas festival goers.
